Christmas 2010

Again loaded pictures backwards. We had our annual Staheli Christmas party, and Santa and Mrs. Claus came and visited. This was the first year Parker wasn't afraid. Macee wasn't sure what to think. We played some minute to win it games and had lots of fun. The next evening we had our annual Wright (Georgia's family) Christmas Party. We had yummy fish and the kids got to open presents. My kids were spoiled rotten. Parker got a whole new cowboy outfit including the hat and buckle. I think Santa was stumped after this cuz all Parker has asked for was a cowboy hat. He was in heaven in his new cowboy clothes. The next picture up is our little family on Christmas Eve. This was our first year to get the kids jammies. In past years grandma becky has done it, but this year she said she wasn't doing it anymore so we got to start our own little tradition. Christmas Eve we went up to grandma Georgia's and had Navajo tacos. We had tons of food and grandma becky and grandpa bill were alone, so we invited them up to dinner too. Then we played catch phrase. Georgia didn't have a voice so there were lots of gestures as well. We had lots of fun and were sorry that Ben and Shannon and kids couldn't come over. Christmas morning we were up early so we could be over to grandma becky's at 6 am. Someone must have been good, cuz we were all spoiled. Grandpa bill cooked us breakfast, and then we went over to grandma georgia's where we were again spoiled. We had Christmas Dinner with my family and then had some good old fashioned fun on the wii. Wait, guess not old fashioned but still fun none the less. Sunday after dinner we went over to Shannon's and played Just Dance on the wii. Too bad for you we didn't get any pictures, but it was definitely one of the funniest things ever. Ben was the best dancer of us all, and I'm the loser. I never have been coordinated enough to dance, but thought I was at least better than Reece, but guess not. The kids were so much fun this year. On Christmas Eve Parker kept shouting out from his bedroom, "mom, go to bed so Santa can come." He probably shouted that 6 or 7 times. He was so excited. Thank you everyone for the wonderful gifts. We love you all!!

P.S. Santa brought Parker a RC four wheeler, and he was very excited about his 'surprise'. (That's what he wanted when he got his hat last week, 'just a surprise')

Finally an update of the Staheli's

Well what else is new. I loaded my pictures in the wrong order. So they are from the most recent to the oldest and I'm just giving a short update. The first picture is of the grandkids with their great grandparents (Georgia's parents). We went down to Bullhead for Thanksgiving and had a good time. The next one is my little trick or treaters. We just went around the block and that was plenty for Parker he was ready to go home. The next two are at the St. George Marathon 2010 watching grandpa Bill. Parker and Reece went hunting and Randan was in Afganistan, so it was just the girls. Grandma Becky, Kenz, Mace, and I. Mace had just finished a chocolate popsicle. The marathon was super hot and runners were dropping like flies but grandpa finished in a great time and looks great for being a grandpa! The last picture is at the Hogle Zoo. Reece and I took the kids up to the zoo for the first time. They loved seeing all the animals and seeing great grandma and grandpa Wallace. There's an update of four months in just a short paragraph. We are doing well and can't complain.

Macee the Monster

This is Macee our little monster. We lover her to death, but she's pretty naughty. She has attitude and spunk for herself and Parker. She's super bossy, and she doesn't even talk yet. She really pushes Parker around. She's way tougher than he is. I can't believe what a girl she is though. First thing when she gets to her grandma Georgia's house she has to get her purse, put the wallet in, put the cell phone in and get her baby. Then she walks around the house carrying her baby and talking on her phone with her purse on her shoulder. Where did this come from??? She acts a lot like her aunt Kenzie. Even with the attitude, she's still a really good busy baby. She eats good, sleeps good, plays good, and goes to the baby sitter good. She's so grown up already its sad. No bottles, no binkies, no sippies to go to bed, she's a big girl already. Now we just need to potty train, but I'm not ready to even try that one yet. We love Mace so much, and I'm not sure what we'd do without her.

Parker

Better late than never right? Parker turned 4 in September. I can't believe how fast time goes by. It seems like we just brought him home. Parker is such a good kid. He goes to two pre-schools two times a week and loves it. His favorite thing to do is ride his bike with the neighbor kids. I don't know what we're going to do when it gets too cold and yucky to ride. He is really quite awesome on it too. He pops wheelies and jumps it like he's 6 or 7 instead of 4. He is so funny. For some reason he thinks he's a little cowboy. He loves watching John Wayne movies. He outgrew his cowboy boots last spring so he has been wearing water boots all summer so grandpa Bill bought him some new cowboy boots for his birthday. He was so super excited. Grandma Georgia bought him some cowboy pants, as he calls them, and he was so excited he had to put them on right away. Every morning I fight with him about the pants he's going to wear because he will only wear cowboy pants which are wranglers or 20 x. I thought this wasn't suppose to happen for another few years and with girls not boys. Boy was I wrong.
We sure love this kid! So I remember here are some of the things Parker loves at 4:
spaghetti
chocolate
John Wayne
cowboy boots
cowboy pants
riding bikes
wrestling with his dad
playing guns
making bike jumps
getting dirty
Macee
showers with dad or baths with sissy
drawing or coloring
school
playing with neighbor kids
reading books with mom
being at his grandparents' houses
playing with his cousin Addilee
legos
Dora and Diego
hunting with daddy and grandpa
changing clothes

Labor Day

For Labor Day we went up to Cedar Mountain again this year. This is Macee and her cousin Aspen. Macee just loves her to death. She thinks Aspen is her very own life size baby doll. She pats her on the back or bum, tries to feed her, and wants to hold her all the time. As long as she doesn't scare Aspen off, they will be the best of friends!!

Boulder Mountain

The weekend before I went back to school, we went camping up on Boulder Mountain. We weren't sure where we were going because Reece always goes clear up on top, and we didn't want to go that far. We wanted to go around Posey Springs. Nobody wanted to come with us so just the four of us went. To make a long story short we didn't have the best of luck, when we pulled into Cedar and the tread separated from the tire, so we got that fixed and were on our way, then the poles on our tent broke, the zipper broke, our air mattress went flat, we didn't take enough gas for the Rhino, and Macee fell in a puddle of muddy water at 11,000 feet up (the temp was around 60 degrees and we were 20 miles from our camp) and ruined her only shoes I packed for her. Even with all of our bad luck, we had a blast. The weather was beautiful, the country was beautiful, and it was a great end of summer vacation for us. I hope we make it back next summer. We intended on staying Thursday morning through Sunday afternoon, but with no gas, no air mattress, and no shoes for Macee we decided to come a day early.

FROGS!!!

There was a rain storm sometime around the first of August. We had been up to Orrin and Georgia's, and as were were walking out to our truck, we saw a baby frog. Reece caught it for Parker so we went back into the house and got a cup for it. As were walking back out, I told Reece we should go frog hunting and catch Parker some frogs. He loves them and they usually live all summer in our irrigation box. So we headed out towards the Reservoir. We hadn't even got to Grants and Parker says "hey my baby frog isn't in the cup anymore" yep it jumped out in Reece's truck. Oops, apparently Parker's had isn't big enough to cover the top of the cup. So we get out to Jack Randall's and just round the corner and we find 3 big frogs and a baby frog. We put them all in the red cup, but this time I'm holding it now so they won't get out. Parker thought it was pretty awesome and wanted to show his grandma and grandpa so we took them back to Orrin's and showed them. Grandma about jumped out of her pants. They were chirping, and she thought they were mice for some reason. She's deathly afraid of mice. Then we took them over to my parents house, and we got the same reaction out of grandma Becky only she didn't think they were mice, she was just afraid of the frogs. So when we came home we got them out of the cups and showed them to Macee, and she freaked out. I don't know if it was a learned reaction from her grandmas or what, but she didn't want anything to do with them. Reece took the frogs out to the irrigation box. They stayed in there for a couple of days, but then Parker and the neighbor friends got them out and played with them and let them go. Now for some pictures of the frogs.
